Eventor (Part of the Culina Group) is a leading event specialist providing bespoke logistic solutions for motorsport, music, events, exhibitions, and the nuclear industry. We can transport, build, maintain and store anything and everything you need for your event.
Joining Eventor as an Event Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the operation, ensuring that all daily targets are met in a cost-effective, efficient, and safe manner in line with company policies and procedures. The Event Manager is responsible for internal and customer KPIs, leading continuous improvement activities and initiatives, planning vehicle movements within UK/Europe in parallel with the F1 season calendar following cross-border movement legality. Managing a team of drivers/riggers at European events, carrying out technical trailer/pod builds following SSW and written processes in line with customer schedules. An extremely high standard of work is paramount and the Event Manager is expected to lead by example.
Shifts: Various shift patterns, ability to travel internationally and work flexible hours over race weekends.
Key Duties:
- Manage the transport, set up, build and break down of all event hardware, namely F1 Team Motorhome and Race base (Customer specific).
- Transport high-spec cargo; following legal, compliance and Brexit perimeters.
- Prepare and load equipment to deliver and set up at event.
- Manual technical trailer and POD builds, maintenance, cleaning and ensuring all is operational on agreed timescales for customer.
- Budget management, raising POs, ensuring all customer work has POs prior to start.
- Strategic planning and resource management.
- Responsible for team travel arrangements - flights, hotels, ferry (Supported by office operations team).
- Manage accident investigation and follow up (Supported by office operations team).
- Liaise with driver agencies, customers, General Public, emergency services, recovery companies, service providers; nationally and internationally (Supported by office operations team).
- Attention to detail; continually monitor and maintain the appearance/condition of all equipment.
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment are always presented to Formula 1 standard.
- Collect and analyse data, identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure all target dates are met within agreed customer timescales and all components are fully operational.
- Main point of contact for client and key stakeholders.
- Regular and accurate communication/updates with Operations Director F1 & Management.
- Ensure all legal obligations are met in line with company policy.
- Scrupulously maintain all H&S equipment provided by the company/others in the interests of health, safety and welfare.
- Follow the accident/incident and H&S processes in accordance with company policy.
- Ensure all team personnel hold the required competency and/or authority to undertake any work expected of them.
- Ensure all drivers are made aware of legal updates/changes in legislation.
- Assist with goods vehicle movement checks when required.
- Supervise the WTD process for drivers on event or other work to ensure hours are logged accurately.
- Ensure all legal documentation is present for trucks/trailers, permission to drive letters, certificates of conformity, insurance, V5, EU community licence, Truck tacho calibration, insurance green card, ECMT certificates of roadworthiness, low noise Austria, trailer registration, ECMT cert of compliance, trailer goods in transit insurance.
- Manage scheduled services and MOT’s for all customer units and trailers around their regular scheduled movements.
- Conduct safety checks on trackside facilities and equipment, reporting and logging any hazards or concerns to the relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Experience of working within a Motorsport / F1 environment.
- Full understanding of the Customer Contractual obligations.
- Working knowledge of EU Drivers Hours and WTD Legislation.
- Working knowledge of Tachograph legislation.
- Full understanding of company Accident Investigation Process.
- Working knowledge of company systems (GTS / MWF / Microlise).
- IT Literate including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and in high-pressure environments.
- Ability to travel internationally and work flexible hours over race weekends.
- Exceptional problem-solving and practical skills.
- Experience with quality control and a strong eye for detail.
- Detail-oriented and precise, with a strong focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to perform in fast-paced, high-stakes situations.
- Strong multitasking capabilities and the ability to manage diverse tasks simultaneously.
