Job Description

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented

EDF Maintenance & Contract Support Supervisor to join our team.

This is a key operational role responsible for ensuring all EDF maintenance administration is processed accurately and on time, whilst managing budgets, costs, vehicle compliance activities, and supporting the delivery of contractual commitments.

The successful candidate will provide support to the Contract Manager and Finance Manager whilst overseeing a team of Vehicle Maintainers and Logistic Schedulers.

This role requires strong administrative, financial and people management skills, with a focus on customer service, compliance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract & Administration Management
  • Manage and process maintenance paperwork received from contractors associated with the EDF contract.
  • Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain vehicle maintenance records and ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Update and maintain internal spreadsheets and monitoring reports.
  • Retrieve missing PODs and maintain Un POD reports in line with company procedures.
  • Provide administrative support across multiple contracts when required.
  • Budget & Cost Control
  • Collate, monitor and manage maintenance budgets and associated costs.
  • Calculate transportation costs relating to EDF vehicle and equipment movements.
  • Obtain quotes for vehicle repairs and strategic spare parts, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Monitor expenditure and support financial reporting requirements.
  • Operational & Compliance Support
  • Ensure vehicle compliance appointments are scheduled and communicated to relevant depot personnel.
  • Record, monitor and order consumable stock levels.
  • Support the management of subcontractors operating within the contract.
  • Ensure customer and internal KPIs are consistently achieved.
  • Follow all internal and customer processes and procedures effectively.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with EDF, WPS and subcontractors.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries.
  • Support the Contract Manager and Finance Manager with project work and operational initiatives.
  • Provide holiday and absence cover for other operational roles, including Logistic Controller and Contract Manager where appropriate.
  • Team Leadership
  • Lead, support and motivate a team of Vehicle Maintainers and Logistic Schedulers.
  • Ensure workloads are effectively managed and operational standards are maintained.
  • Travel to remote locations where required to support and manage remote staff.

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Experience managing large volumes of paperwork and data.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good telephone manner and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.

  • Experience within fleet, transport, logistics, maintenance or contract management environments.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
