Lüp is the data-driven event technology platform behind some of the world's most complex events — from SXSW Sydney to The Podcast Show London. We turn fragmented event data into a single source of truth that powers registration, smart lead capture and real-time analytics, all backed by full-service onsite delivery. Fifteen years in and recognised across the industry, we're now scaling fast in the UK — and that's where this role sits.
We're looking for a senior, full-cycle engineer who can own problems end to end with very little hand-holding: the kind who builds it, ships it, runs it, and improves it. This is a high-autonomy role with room to grow by design. You'll work asynchronously alongside a globally distributed team, so we need someone who can set their own direction, unblock themselves, and deliver high-quality software without waiting to be told what to do next. We're also genuinely AI-first: AI-assisted development is core to how we build, every engineer is equipped for it, and we expect you to be just as bought in.
About You
- You're an experienced software engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and shipping high-quality solutions.
- You operate well on your own, take real ownership, and bring others along through strong technical judgment and clear communication.
- You're equally comfortable in the weeds of the code and zoomed out on the architecture.
- 8–10+ years building software with .NET technologies.
- Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET and the wider Microsoft stack.
- Solid full-stack experience across back-end and modern JavaScript/React front-ends.
- Strong grasp of software architecture, design patterns and engineering best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills — you can diagnose and fix things others can't.
- A track record of delivering autonomously, with minimal oversight, in an async or distributed setup.
- Experience guiding delivery and mentoring engineers (formal team leadership is a plus, not a must).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management — clear in writing, since most of our coordination is written.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative scale-up environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
