About The Role
EC has an opportunity for a Project Manager with experience in event production to join our team. Reporting to a senior member of the department, this role is responsible for the delivery of a broad range of events. The main client point of contact, managing production‑led enquiries covering technical, scenic, and other event production elements, working with internal teams to take a project from initial enquiry to on‑site delivery. Supporting growth, nurturing client and venue relationships, providing exceptional service to encourage repeat business. Not a technical or scenic role, but requires a confident understanding of production, event delivery, and a commercial mindset to steer projects and ensure client success.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in the events industry, ideally with a production background.
- Experience in event management or production, confident in discussing projects with clients.
- Attention to detail and understanding of event production processes.
- Experience with project financials, understanding revenue, gross profit, and margins.
- Comfortable with targets around profit and conversion.
- Commitment to sustainability, supporting our 2030 Pledge.
Responsibilities
- Act as lead in clients’ requirements, providing realistic solutions.
- Handle new enquiries, preparing quotations and proposals for small to medium events.
- Attend internal pipeline meetings and monitor progress against revenue targets.
- Seek upsell opportunities, adding value through technical, scenic, florals, and content offerings.
- Maintain own pipeline of events from quote to delivery, ensuring processes are followed.
- Collaborate with technical, scenic, floral, creative, content and other internal teams.
- Produce accurate floor plans in Vectorworks, keeping them updated and properly filed.
- Create schedules and work with operations, logistics, and crewing teams to maintain accuracy.
- Deliver events on budget and schedule.
- Support other team members as needed.
- Ensure budgets are competitive and commercially sound, meeting internal targets.
- Reconcile projects, allocating costs in R2 and communicating additional charges timely.
- Generate and manage event safety plans, RAMS, build schedules, and project packs.
- Observe company policies and procedures in all day‑to‑day responsibilities.
