We’re Hiring: Senior Technical Project Manager

Make the extraordinary, everlasting — with us. At EC, we craft extraordinary experiences that leave a lasting impression — not just for our clients, but for our people too. We blend the big ideas of a creative agency with the meticulous execution of a production company, bringing bold, imaginative events to life. We’re collaborative, down-to-earth, and serious about delivering quality — all while finding time for lightness and fun. If you’re someone who’s curious, adaptable and excited to do meaningful work with a team that’s got your back, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager to join our team. Reporting to our Head of Production, you’ll oversee the full technical delivery of projects — from planning and quoting through to on-site execution. You’ll ensure every project is delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard, while guiding and mentoring others across the team. Based in our London office, you’ll help bring extraordinary events to life in iconic venues across the UK and occasionally abroad. While the role is multi-disciplinary, we’re particularly keen to strengthen our audio capabilities. You’ll play a key role in shaping and elevating our audio offering — driving innovation, improving processes, and supporting delivery across the team.

This role is perfect for either a seasoned event professional with project management experience, looking to make an impact in a full-time role, or for someone with a track record in technical project management looking to step into a senior role.

You’ll Thrive Here If You…

  • Have significant, demonstrable experience in project management within the live events industry
  • Have a strong working knowledge of live event planning and delivery
  • Have a strong background in audio technology, including system design and implementation
  • Are a confident project manager, capable of leading multiple events simultaneously and meeting deadlines under pressure
  • Excel at creative problem-solving and can think on your feet to resolve technical challenges on site
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and internal teams alike
  • Have a strong awareness of health and safety practices and champion best working practices on site
  • Are passionate about innovation and continuous improvement in event technology

You don’t have to tick every box — we care just as much about curiosity, adaptability and a growth mindset as we do experience on paper.

What You’ll Be Doing

Project Planning

  • Work with production and agency teams to provide technical support, planning and quotations
  • Liaise between Technical, Production, Operations and Warehouse teams to create streamlined project flow
  • Produce equipment lists, technical plans and H&S documentation for events
  • Monitor technical budgets to ensure financial targets are met
  • Represent EC at site meetings and act as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders

Project Execution

  • Provide clear briefings to internal teams and freelance technicians
  • Oversee technical delivery on site, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction
  • Act as a senior point of escalation, solving problems and providing hands-on leadership during events

Leadership & Line Management

  • Support and mentor direct reports, fostering a culture of learning and excellence
  • Identify training needs and nurture talent within the technical team
  • Collaborate with the People Team to attract and retain the best technical production talent

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure all technical aspects adhere to H&S regulations and RAMS requirements
  • Identify potential risks early and implement proactive contingency plans
  • Promote safe working practices across all project sites

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead innovation in the delivery of audio, pushing boundaries with new technologies
  • Shape our approach to audio equipment purchasing and deployment
  • Stay ahead of technical and production trends to maintain EC’s creative edge
  • Continuously refine internal technical processes and best practices

Representing EC

  • Attend trade shows, client and venue visits, and industry events
  • Support marketing and promotional projects as required
  • Live and demonstrate our company values in everything you do
  • Actively contribute to our 2030 Pledge to make a positive impact across our industry
