This is a full-time role for a Live-In Carer based in Dereham. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing personal care and assistance to clients in their own homes, supporting them with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, mobility support, and companionship. The Live-In Carer will also help manage household tasks, ensure a safe living environment, and build trusting, compassionate relationships with clients to support their overall well-being.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in personal care tasks, such as assistance with mobility, washing, dressing, and grooming
  • Ability to manage household tasks such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and creating a safe environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for providing companionship and emotional support
  • Knowledge of medical and healthcare-related tasks, including medication administration and handling specific needs such as dementia, Alzheimer’s, or palliative care
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and complex or degenerative conditions
  • Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to caregiving
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to varying client needs
  • Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or a related field is highly desirable
  • Possession of relevant certifications in caregiving, first aid, or health and social care is an advantage
