Job Description What will you be doing We are looking for a talented individual to join us as an Operations Executive - COO & CASS Oversight in Glasgow or Liverpool.
In your role, you will perform daily duties associated with the COO & CASS Oversight function, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time while adhering to all controls, regulatory guidelines and procedures relevant to team functions.
This is a varied role, offering a really good overview of Operations and exposure to senior stakeholders and the leadership team.
As an Operations Executive - COO & CASS Oversight, your responsibilities will include among others COO error tracking – ensuring all actions are completed in a timely manner and the risk event system is updated appropriately with any profit / loss information.
Assist in the coordination of audits (both internal and external – eg.
AAF, IT) and the tracking of associated actions.
Assist with COO error investigation and tracking of any actions to prevent future reoccurrence.
Assist with COO complaint investigation and tracking of any actions to prevent future reoccurrence.
Assist with user access reviews, ensuring all colleagues across COO have an appropriate level of access to internal systems as well as the external custodial platforms.
Assist with operational losses allocation and reconciliation.
Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should Demonstrable interest in financial services and in particular investment management.
Responding to queries from both internal and external parties in a timely manner and providing a high level of customer service both internally and externally.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages: Minimum basic level Word and intermediate level Excel.
Strong Interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to communicate well both written and verbally to senior audiences.
Demonstrate ability to understand and summarise complex information in a professional and concise manner and solve problems quickly with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to organise workloads effectively and meet tight deadlines, with a flexible approach to team priorities.
Desired Experience gained within a financial services institution especially in Operations is advantageous but not essential.
Relevant professional qualifications e. g.
CISI Investment Operations Certificate desirable but not essential.
