Job Description

What will you be doing? We’re seeking a talented Business Development Director to join our team in London, responsible for driving new-to-brand client growth across the UK through a focused, vertical-led business development strategy. You will lead growth for our Entrepreneurs client vertical, operating at a senior, market-facing level. The Business Development Director sets direction, builds high-value introducer and partner networks, and converts strategic opportunities into sustainable growth for the firm, combining strategic leadership, senior relationship management and commercial execution. You will be supported by a Business Development Associate, who provides executional, analytical and coordination support across activity, pipeline and initiatives.

As Business Development Director, your responsibilities will include among others:

  • Take ownership of new-to-brand client growth across the entrepreneur vertical and translate firm-wide growth priorities into clear entrepreneur specific business development plans, aligned to market opportunity and target client profiles.
  • Build, manage and deepen strategic introducer relationships (professional firms, advisors, intermediaries and centres of influence).
  • Act as the senior point of contact for priority partners, developing trusted, long-term relationships that generate consistent referral flow.
  • Identify and unlock new introducer opportunities aligned to target client segments and vertical strategy, overseeing pipeline development across the entrepreneur vertical, ensuring opportunities are well-qualified, prioritised and progressed.
  • Act as a senior ambassador for the firm across the market, representing Evelyn at events, roundtables, seminars and industry forums, building personal profile and credibility within target sectors to support long-term brand and relationship development.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Client Teams and senior stakeholders to ensure a joined-up approach to growth and feed market insight, introducer intelligence and client feedback back into vertical strategy and proposition development.

Qualifications Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Strong understanding of the wealth management and intermediary environment.
  • Strong network of intermediaries and business introducers.
  • Demonstrable experience and success in business development, in a commercial/professional services environment.
  • Outstanding relationship building skills, internally and with potential clients, intermediaries and contacts.
  • Strong people management skills, with previous team management experience and the ability to motivate and influence others to deliver.
  • Strong project management skills, with multiple stakeholders in a matrix structure.

  • Competitive salary.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Life assurance.
  • Pension contribution.
