Job Overview

We’re seeking a talented Service Protection Analyst to join our team in Liverpool. The role supports the delivery of safe, controlled, and high‑quality change into live service by providing operational governance across Release Management, Service Transition, and Change Advisory Board (CAB). The position acts as a key control point to ensure operational readiness, risk mitigation, and compliance with service management standards, protecting live service stability and improving performance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and execution of releases across multiple systems and vendors
  • Validate release readiness criteria (testing, rollback, dependencies, documentation, environments) and track and escape risks, issues, and dependencies ahead of release
  • Support structured release cycles and post‑release validation / early life support (ELS)
  • Contribute to reducing release‑related incidents and rework
  • Support onboarding of new services and major changes into BAU support, ensuring operational readiness criteria are met (support models, SLAs, documentation, monitoring, access)

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in IT Service Management (ITIL), ideally within Change, Release, or Transition
  • Understanding of ITIL practices and service lifecycle governance
  • Ability to assess risk, apply structured challenge, and support governance decisions
  • Experience working in multi‑system, multi‑vendor environments
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data for decision making
  • Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills

  • ITIL Foundation v4, with further ITIL qualifications desirable
