What will you be doing?

We’re seeking a talented individual to join our team in London. The HR Business Partner (Policy and Contracts) will work closely with the HR team to develop and maintain the HR Policy and employment contract framework, supporting key objectives in the context of the people agenda. Working in partnership with the HR Team and the business, the HR Business Partner will combine an understanding of the organisation and its context with HR expertise, to provide oversight and develop HR policy and contract solutions to meet organisational needs. The HR Business Partner will provide guidance to the HR Team on policy and contract related matters as required and develop the HR Team in best practice.

As HR Business Partner, your responsibilities will include among others:

  • To lead the oversight and development of the HR Policy framework ensuring in line with legal and regulatory updates and best practice, work collaboratively with the HR Team and other key policy stakeholders to ensure the HR Policy framework is embedded in the organisation.
  • To provide knowledge and expertise to develop policy solutions in line with the People agenda and organisational needs and develop and implement processes that support effective policy implementation and governance.
  • To develop and maintain employment contract and consultancy agreement templates, providing solutions where required ensuring best practice in application and work collaboratively with the Reward Team to have oversight of non-standard contract arrangements.
  • To provide guidance and ongoing development to the HR Team to ensure sound knowledge and application of policy and contract best practice and provide support to the HR Services team to meet performance objectives in relation to policy and contract guidance, enabling a customer focused approach.
  • To support the effective implementation of change management initiatives, including medium to large acquisitions and business transformation projects.
  • To help to build a high performance culture, which reinforces our values and behaviours.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • CPD Qualified is preferred but not essential.
  • In depth knowledge of UK employment law, experience of policy and contract development and an understanding of the regulatory framework for Financial Services.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen in order to assess risk and opportunities for the organisation.
  • Ability to work at pace and deliver against established personal and team targets.
  • Strong analytical skills, highly articulate with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Resilient, approachable, and confident with an ability to adapt style to different audiences, build credibility easily and strong influencing skills.
