Job Purpose

We are seeking a talented and motivated Director Financial Planning professional to join our Financial Planning team in Exeter . As an integral part of our financial planning department, you will be required to business develop and grow new business across the region. This is a fantastic opportunity if you are currently a Financial Planner or Associate Director looking for a step up.

As a Director Financial Planning your responsibilities will include among others

Key Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastically build and develop new client relationships through effective ongoing business development
  • Ensure client files are carefully maintained with client details regularly updated where needed
  • To plan, implement and execute the annual Business Plan
  • Take responsibility for supporting the growth of the business, working with the director/partner group on key commercial pillars.
  • To work in partnership with Investment Management (IM) to develop client relationships.
  • Structure and lead client meetings ensuring all information and advice is accurate

Skills, Experience

  • Proven ability to deal with new and existing clients on a fee basis Required
  • Ability to understand and communicate advice practices and processes clearly and effectively. Required
  • A strong ethic of client and customer service Required
  • Ability to work under pressure and to prioritise work Required
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Required

To be successful in this role, you should

  • Hold a relevant level 4 qualification or above (ideally Level 6) and maintains an up-to-date Statement of Professional Standing
  • Experience with matrimonial, vulnerable or Personal Injury Clients would be advantageous
  • Experience of developing new business
  • Experience of relationship management with internal and external stakeholders
