Job Description

The Financial Services division comprises the advisory and investment management services. Central to the division’s activities is the creation and oversight of its investment process which includes asset allocation and investment selection. Evelyn Partners’ investment methodology has been continually refined over a long period of time to cater for our clients’ broad range of circumstances and requirements. Accordingly, our services include personalised as well as bespoke portfolios, and centrally managed portfolios for clients with similar investment needs. We invest in a wide range of markets and investments, and different approaches may be appropriate through the economic cycle or according to client preference. As long‑term stewards, the sustainability of the investments that make up our client portfolios has always been an important consideration. Our belief is that a collegiate approach to investment decision‑making results in the best client outcomes.

A fully integrated research function:

  • The individuals who have responsibility for investment recommendations also provide investment and relationship management.
  • The asset allocation team which provides macro and quantitative inputs and plays the leading role in drawing together the different elements of investment recommendations.
  • A management structure where oversight of the process is led by experienced and practicing Investment Managers from across the business.

One of the key drivers of consistent investment returns is the application of a structured macro‑economic view to asset allocations of all our clients’ investment portfolios.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support senior members of the asset allocation team with ad‑hoc discretionary research and investment commentary as and when required.
  • Support generation of internal and external presentations, documents, etc.
  • Assist investment group chairs with organising and facilitating meetings and collateral.
  • Help respond to ad‑hoc queries from Investment Manager community.

Model portfolios & analytics

  • Support model portfolio construction and maintenance.
  • Support the build out and provision of data & analytics to internal stakeholders covering asset allocation and central model portfolios.
  • Assist with process controls, quality assurance and maintaining documentation for analytics processes.
  • Ad hoc project work and analysis as needed.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or quantitative subject.
  • Have strong attention to detail and good planning/organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of investments and investment strategies is important.
  • Experience in an asset management or wealth management would be helpful.
  • Advanced M365 (Excel, PowerPoint) skills.
  • Experience of SQL/Snowflake and Python would be helpful.
  • Experience of third‑party portfolio analytics systems (Refinitiv, FactSet, Bloomberg, Morningstar, etc.) would be helpful.
  • Willingness to pursue professional qualifications (CFA / FRM / CIPM).
