Job Description

What will you be doing? We’re seeking a talented individual to join our team in Bracknell. Working within the Digital Delivery team, and reporting into our Senior Scrum Master, this role will be involved in a range of digital product outcomes. As part of our investment in the future, we are building our digital capability within our Bracknell office. Our strategy is to put the power of good advice into more hands and to deliver on this promise we are building a new wealth management service for next generation clients; to help them plan and manage their financial future. This service will combine the best of great digital product design and wealth management expertise, helping our team communicate, coordinate, and cooperate to assist cross functional teams in meeting their delivery goals.

As Scrum Master, your responsibilities will include among others:

  • Create an environment which moves teams towards high performing, and helping teams understand customer needs and outcomes, ensuring delivery remains aligned to client and business value.
  • Coach the Agile team in applying Agile and Scrum to achieve business value and facilitate Agile Team ceremonies & practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve team effectiveness, delivery flow, ways of working and organisational processes.
  • Facilitate productive conversations across teams and stakeholders, helping surface issues, resolve conflict and build effective working relationships.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Operations and Business teams, helping align priorities and delivery outcomes.
  • Support effective backlog management and refinement activities, working with the Product Owner and team, to ensure the backlog remains visible, clearly understood and ready for delivery.

Qualifications Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Be a qualified Scrum Master with 3 to 5 years Scrum Master experience with knowledge of multiple agile methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Have knowledge of software development lifecycle.
  • Have the ability to lead, coach and influence team in adopting Agile principles, using metrics and data to support decision-making, identify trends and drive improvements within the team.
  • Be able to operate effectively in complex environments, with multiple teams, stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Possess excellent communication, influencing, collaboration, analytical and facilitation skills with an ability to foster strong collaboration among team members and help teams remove impediments.
  • Have strong JIRA & Confluence experience, including backlog management, reporting, workflow awareness and team collaboration practices.
