· EVE LOM is seeking a creative problem solver who is passionate about telling stories and bringing them to life with art direction and design. The Art Director is a conceptual thinker and storyteller who can visualize your ideas in new and inspiring ways. He/She is well-rounded and has a strong point of view on concept, design, product design, packaging and art direction. The Art Director will have two direct reports: graphic designer & digital graphic designer.

Key Responsibilities

· Directs, inspires & motivates others through an innovative approach to design, ideation & ways of working. Leads project teams to develop and execute editorial, design and photo concepts for events and campaigns.

· Builds strong relationships with creative peers and cross-functional partners in order to develop and implement strategies, deliver fresh creative solutions, drive sales and create synergy & integration across marketing platforms.

· Ensures all creative work meets brand identity guidelines, reflects our customer’s diversity, and is grounded in an ongoing awareness of our competition. Combines a deep understanding of design systems, grids, color, typography and photography to deliver clear and powerful messages.

· Liaise with relevant internal and third parties (agencies) to develop artwork, including product packaging and all creative material for events.

· Provide creative input for photo shoots, social media campaigns and PR

· Work effectively with agencies to deliver on creative asset requirements

· Facilitate brainstorm meetings and creative sessions

· Assist with managing design team

· Collaborates with copywriters and other creative leaders to develop campaign and project concepts that meet creative brief objectives. Evaluates creative briefs to ensure clarity and alignment on direction before work begins.

· Directs casting, styling, hair & makeup direction prior to shoots. Directs crew of photographers, stylists and hair & makeup on location and in studio as required.

· Plans, prioritizes and produces a high volume of work, taking ownership from start to finish. Meets deadlines and proactively communicates status of projects to partners and leaders.

About You

We are looking for candidate who is detail-oriented and comfortable working on all areas of social media, influencers and digital marketing to execute successful campaigns:

· Portfolio demonstrating design and advertising communications proficiency

· 5+ years of management experience inclusive of photo art direction required, agency/in-house concepting and art directing ideas for brand and product

· Expert in Adobe Creative Suite – XD, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator

· Proficient in Microsoft Office programs – Outlook, Teams, Powerpoint, Word

· Thorough understanding of photography, typography and printing

· Knowledge of the beauty industry and its expectations in both the professional and consumer sectors a plus

· Dedication to brand consistency and quality across all channels

· Experience designing, art directing and articulating design decisions

· A strong leader who accepts responsibility for projects, develops trust and respect, is passionate and highly collaborative

· Effectively communicates ideas, concepts, creative execution, processes and project priorities

·Skincare, beauty industry experience is a MUST!!
