Join our team of coach drivers, helping to deliver a first-class experience for our passengers. We are currently looking for new trainee coach drivers to join us based at our garage in Dunbar. As a Trainee Coach Driver you will receive fully funded training from Lothian, allowing you to progress your career with a Cat D (PCV Bus) licence. You will travel throughout the UK, undertaking touring programmes, private hires and day tours, representing our business with enthusiasm and positivity.

What you can expect as a trainee coach driver:

  • Paid training while you work towards gaining your PCV Bus licence (Cat D); all costs covered by Lothian.
  • An hourly rate of £13.55 after training (enhanced hourly weekend working rates).
  • Full uniform provided.
  • Continual training and development to drive your career forward, including annual CPC training opportunities.
  • Free travel across Edinburgh and surrounding areas on all our buses and Edinburgh Trams.
  • Automatic enrolment into a free HSF Health Plan, including optical, dental, physiotherapy, podiatry and many other health expenses. This is fully funded by Lothian and covers children under 18.

In return, our trainee coach drivers will need to:

  • Hold a full UK driving licence, held for more than one year and with no more than 6 penalty points.
  • Be flexible to work a wide range of shift patterns, including weekends and bank holidays.
