An exciting development opportunity has arisen within the Children’s and Families Division for a Team Leader in the Children's Complex Care Team. The post holder will be responsible for the clinical and professional leadership and management of the Children's Complex Care to ensure safe and effective care delivery. Applicants must demonstrate proven skills in staff management alongside significant clinical experience.
The role includes acting as a role model for the team in clinical and quality standards, providing clinical leadership and support through supervision, and line-managing the team to deliver evidence-based care, advice and support to children, families and carers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop effective links with key professionals and partners to ensure delivery of efficient, effective, child-centred care.
- Collaborate with the Clinical lead to support the continual development of team members, ensuring competent and confident service delivery.
- Work with the service manager to assess and monitor team activity against performance and quality indicators.
Person Specification:
Essential Qualifications / Training:
- Registered Nurse (Child Branch) or equivalent Community Children's Nursing qualification – degree level, or willingness to pursue it.
- Evidence of recent Post-Basic Training.
Desirable Qualifications:
- ENB 998 (Teaching & Assessing in Clinical Practice) or equivalent.
Essential Experience:
- Experience working with children with life-limiting or threatening illnesses and end-of-life care.
- Significant experience as an RSCH/RN Child Branch.
- Knowledge of child protection issues and procedures.
- Understanding of current legislative changes affecting the NHS and Social Services, particularly those affecting primary care.

- Access to independent means of transport.
- Flexible approach to working hours, times and days of the week.
