We\’re looking to hire a Head of Data Science to build out and lead the data science capabilities across the organisation. You\’ll have a background in analytics, machine learning, and leading data teams. You’ll be joining the company at an exciting time, working to build out a data team to help drive the company’s direction. Ensuring that data isn\’t just analyzed but transformed into actionable insights that directly improve patient outcomes.

Evaro has a diverse team of Engineers, Designers, and Product specialists from various countries across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. These professionals work together both remotely and in-person to develop innovative healthcare access solutions. Their solutions are currently aimed at the UK private and public markets, focusing on technological advancements and human-centered design to address key challenges in the healthcare system.

In this role you will:
You\’ll be designing, implementing, and leading data science strategies that transform healthcare data into valuable insights and predictive models. Your work will directly impact 13.5 million patients across NHS and private healthcare services in the UK.
You will be:

Building and leading a team of data scientists and analysts

Developing predictive models to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency

Creating data pipelines and architectures to handle sensitive healthcare information securely

Implementing machine learning solutions to personalize healthcare experiences

Analyzing large datasets to identify trends and opportunities for service improvement

Collaborating with product and engineering teams to integrate data insights into our platform

Establishing data governance frameworks and ethical guidelines for healthcare data

Driving innovation through data-led research and development initiatives
You\’ll report directly to the CTO and be responsible for building a focused data team while working closely with engineering, product, and healthcare specialists.
Required Skills:

Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field

5+ years experience in data science with at least 2 years in a leadership role

Strong background in machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling

Experience working with healthcare data and understanding of healthcare analytics

Proficiency in Python, R, or similar data science programming languages

Knowledge of big data technologies and cloud platforms (We’re a GCP shop)

Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex data insights for non-technical stakeholders

Experience implementing data governance and compliance measures, particularly with GDPR and healthcare regulations
