I’m currently partnered with a high-growth UK technology business looking to hire a Senior Security Engineer into a newly evolving security function. This is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage and help shape the future of security across a fast-scaling, product-led environment. The business has already invested heavily in leading security tooling and cloud infrastructure, but much of the environment is still immature — they now need a senior, hands-on engineer to help design, implement and automate the security landscape from the ground up. You’ll work directly with the Head of Information Security and senior engineering leadership to execute an ambitious roadmap across Security Operations, automation, cloud security and AI-led transformation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and implementing scalable security controls across a multi-cloud environment
- Building and maturing Security Operations / detection / incident response capabilities
- Driving AI-led automation across alert triage, investigations and response workflows
- Building AI agents / leveraging LLMs to improve security engineering throughput
- Owning the lifecycle of security tooling from evaluation through to deployment and optimisation
- Integrating logs, telemetry and alerts across multiple platforms and APIs
- Conducting deep-dive security reviews for applications, infrastructure and engineering changes
- Improving DevSecOps processes across CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code environments
- Rationalising and securing a large estate of software, infrastructure and services
What they’re looking for:
- Strong hands-on experience across Security Engineering, Security Operations and Incident Response
- Experience implementing and configuring enterprise security tooling
- Strong understanding of SIEM / detection engineering / SOC environments
- Experience securing complex cloud environments (AWS / GCP / Azure)
- Good understanding of networking, infrastructure and platform engineering
- Experience with IaC, CI/CD pipelines and modern DevSecOps practices
- Comfortable coding / scripting / building integrations via APIs
- Experience with AI / machine learning / LLM-driven workflows would be a major plus
- A proactive builder mindset — someone who likes solving problems and getting things done
Package:
- Competitive salary
- Annual bonus
- Share scheme
- Strong benefits package
- High ownership / visibility role
This would suit someone who enjoys operating in fast-paced environments and wants genuine influence in shaping security strategy and execution. Please apply if you’d like to hear more.
