We are looking for a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team, making deliveries across London and the surrounding areas. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, takes pride in providing excellent service, and can work effectively under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will act as a key link between our office, factory, and customer sites.
Key Requirements
- Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 10 years.
- Clean driving record with no major motoring offences.
- Proven experience driving a Ford Transit van or similar large commercial vehicle.
- Excellent knowledge of London roads and routes.
- Ability to work to strict delivery schedules and deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, dependable, and able to use initiative.
- Physically capable of loading and unloading materials when required.
Main Responsibilities
- Start work at our factory each day at 7:00am.
- Carry out deliveries across London using company vehicles.
- Ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
- Act as a professional liaison between customer sites and the office, keeping all parties informed of delivery progress and any issues.
- Load and secure materials for transportation and onward delivery.
- Assist with unloading and handling materials at delivery locations.
- Return materials and equipment to the factory at the end of the working day.
- Support factory operations and undertake other reasonable duties as directed by the Works Foreman or their deputy.
- Maintain high standards of vehicle care, safety, and housekeeping.
- Assist with the safe storage and centralisation of flammable liquids within designated factory areas when required.
- Demonstrate initiative and a positive, team-focused approach at all times.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 7:00am - 4:00pm (30-minute lunch break, 15-minute morning tea break)
- Regular Saturday overtime available: 7:00am - 12:00pm
