Loader Operator / Multi Skilled Operative Salary : £14.50 per hour Hours : 50 hours per week Working Pattern : Monday to Friday Contract : Permanent About the Role We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hands-on Loader Operator / Multi Skilled Operative to join our team on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be involved in the day-to-day operation of the site, including loading customer vehicles with a variety of products, operating general plant and machinery, and carrying out light repairs and routine maintenance when required.
We are looking for someone who is practical, hardworking and isn't afraid to get stuck in.
Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred, allowing the successful candidate to hit the ground running, but full training can be provided for the right enthusiastic person.
Key Responsibilities Operating loading plant and machinery safely and efficiently.
Loading customer vehicles with a variety of products.
Carrying out general plant checks and routine maintenance.
Undertaking light repairs and basic fault finding on plant and equipment.
Keeping the yard, loading areas and equipment clean, tidy and safe.
Working safely and following all relevant site procedures and regulations.
Providing a friendly and professional service to customers.
Assisting with general site duties as required.
Reporting any machinery faults, damage or safety concerns promptly.
Working as part of a team to ensure the site operates efficiently.
About You We are looking for someone who is: Hardworking, reliable and punctual.
Practical and confident working with machinery and equipment.
Comfortable carrying out basic repairs and maintenance.
Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Safety-conscious and able to follow instructions and procedures.
Comfortable working in an outdoor, busy working environment.
Friendly and professional when dealing with customers.
Willing to learn and develop new skills.
Flexible and willing to get involved with a variety of tasks.
Experience Previous experience operating loaders, plant machinery or working in a similar yard, waste, recycling, aggregates, construction or industrial environment would be advantageous.
Relevant plant tickets or qualifications would also be beneficial, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
