WERE HIRING PLANT & AGRICULTURAL FITTER
Evans Transport Ltd are looking for an experienced and versatile Plant & Agricultural Fitter to join our team.
This is a varied and hands-on role involving the maintenance, servicing and repair of our concrete plants, sand plant and a range of heavy machinery and agricultural equipment.
Location: Bideford / Plymouth / Exeter areas
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and repairing our concrete plants at Bideford
- Maintaining and repairing our sand plant at Leigh Moor, Plymouth
- Planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Mechanical and hydraulic fault finding
- Working on conveyors, pumps, hydraulics and associated plant equipment
- Occasional maintenance and repairs to swing shovels and other heavy plant
- Occasional maintenance and repairs to agricultural/farm machinery
- Travelling between sites when required
- Helping to keep our equipment safe, reliable and operational
- Supporting the wider maintenance team when required
WHO WERE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Agricultural Engineer, Heavy Plant Fitter, HGV Technician or similar
- Strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge
- Experience fault-finding and repairing heavy machinery
- A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
- The ability to work independently xiskglj and as part of a team
- A strong focus on health & safety
- Relevant qualifications would be advantageous, but experience is equally important

- Salary negotiable depending on experience
- 42.5-hour working week
