The predicted salary is between 14.65 - 14.65 £ per hour.
We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 driver to join our Specialist Haulage department. Drivers will be expected to travel around the country to deliver customer goods in a safe and professional manner. The position is available from our Aylesford depot. This is for an Artic type vehicle and is subject to nights out.
Basic hourly rate is £14.65 per hour with a £15.25 a day HIAB bonus and a 10 hour a day guarantee. Nights out are £25.50 a night with £4 a day meal allowance.
Key Skill Requirements for Driver:- Deliver customers' goods in a professional and friendly manner
- Ensure the most direct truck friendly route is taken
- Ensure the vehicle is safe and fit to be on the road by carrying out adequate daily checks
- Work within the tachograph and working time directive laws
- Ensure all PODs are captured accurately
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Report any issues effectively and promptly to management
- Be able to work to a productive nature
- Full driving licence
- In date driver CPC and digital tachograph
- Sound geographical knowledge of the UK and be able to use a road atlas
- Possess good literacy and numeracy skills
- Have a reasonable level of fitness
- Presentable, good attitude and polite
- Moffett/ Lorry loader experience required
- Netting and sheeting experience of benefit but not essential
