We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing costs and ensuring the financial success of a range of construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects.
- Carry out cost planning, cost control, and value engineering to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and meet client expectations.
- Advise on procurement strategies and assist with the tendering process, including preparation of tender documents and analysis of bids.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates on cost forecasts and project financials.
- Assess variations and claims and manage any potential disputes or contractual issues.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and effective project management.
- Conduct site visits to assess work and ensure compliance with contracts and budgets.
- Assist with the preparation of final accounts and ensure all project documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Work closely with senior quantity surveyors and project managers to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Key Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management for construction projects.
- Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
