We are looking for a highly motivated and forward-thinking individual to join a like-minded practice. The role will see you join the Private Client team and engage in a diverse caseload. We offer flexible working in an expanding firm offering career progression for the right candidate.

Purpose of the Private Client role: To assist on a broad range of private client matters, prepare documents and correspondence, and keep clients updated throughout their matter. To contribute to our mission of establishing lifelong relationships with all our clients by anticipating and responding to their needs for quality legal services.

Responsibilities of the Private Client role:

  • To assist on a varied caseload of private client matters including:
    • Wills
    • Lasting Powers of Attorney
    • Probate and Estate Administration
    • Court of Protection matters
    • Trusts
    • Elderly client matters
    • Inheritance Tax matters
  • To take a proactive approach in building professional relationships with clients and other contacts
  • To maintain and promote the good image and reputation of the firm
  • To solve problems with a high level of initiative
  • To use the case management software

General duties of the Private Client role:

  • To work in a flexible way to ensure that the workload is completed and to undertake any other jobs commensurate with the level of the post
  • To establish, maintain and enhance team-working with colleagues
  • To keep confidential all information about individuals and the business and work within the guidelines of GDPR
  • To abide by our Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety, Anti Money Laundering Policies and all other relevant policies

The perfect applicant will have:

  • Prior experience working in a law firm
  • Experience within Private Client/Wills and Probate
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience of working in a customer-facing role
  • Experience of working on own initiative with minimum supervision
  • Experience of establishing, building and sustaining professional relationships with clients and other contacts
  • Experience of managing own workload, meeting deadlines and prioritising appropriately
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A methodical and detailed approach with a high level of accuracy
  • Self-motivation, be proactive, forward-thinking and a team player
  • Satisfactory DBS

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Dependent upon experience
