Criminal Paralegal Hounslow , West London | £24,000£30,000 per annum An established and highly regarded specialist criminal law firm is looking for a motivated Criminal Paralegal to join its busy and experienced criminal defence team in Hounslow, West London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal looking to develop their career within a specialist criminal practice and gain valuable hands-on experience across a broad range of criminal matters.
The successful candidate will work closely with experienced solicitors and fee earners, supporting cases from the initial stages through to conclusion and gaining exposure to police station, Magistrates Court and Crown Court work.
The Role Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting solicitors with a varied caseload of criminal defence matters.
Preparing case files, correspondence and legal documentation.
Reviewing and organising evidence and disclosure.
Assisting with preparation for Magistrates Court and Crown Court hearings.
Liaising with clients, barristers, courts, police and other relevant agencies.
Taking instructions from clients and maintaining accurate attendance notes.
Assisting with legal research and case preparation.
Preparing applications, statements and other case documentation.
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring case-management systems are kept up to date.
Assisting with publicly funded criminal defence matters and Legal Aid administration.
Providing high standards of client care and supporting solicitors throughout the life of each case.
