Our client is a successful multidisciplinary consultancy delivering high quality solutions utilising up-to-date technology to meet their client’s needs. They provide planning and design services to a wide range of clients across a range of sectors including Commercial, Residential, Health, Education and Defence.
In support of ongoing growth, they are seeking a Principal or Associate Geotechnical Engineer to work with and support their structural and civil teams. This role is a great opportunity for a talented and driven individual who wants to lead and grow with a team in creating a successful and enjoyable work environment.

A minimum of 10 years postgraduate background within the ground engineering sector.

Track-record leading projects and representing a company in Design Team Meetings.

The ability to manage and check work being undertaken by less experienced staff.

Background in costing and quoting for professional services.

Competent in the design of foundations (ULS and SLS).

Background in the assessment and specification of ground improvement.

Background in the design of earthworks, the assessment settlement, and slopes, using specialist analytical geotechnical software.

Background in the design of soil retaining structures / ground reinforcement.

Proficient in the preparation of technically accurate interpretive GIR’s, GDR’s and GFR’s.

Presentation of work to the highest standards.

Sound commercial and contractual judgement.
