Our client is a successful multidisciplinary consultancy whose team of structural, civil, and geotechnical engineers provide innovative and collaborative expertise across all sectors including residential, education, commercial, industrial, healthcare and student accommodation.

They are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Assistant Engineering Geologist/Geo-environmental Engineer to join their expanding team in their open-plan offices in Northampton. Attributes and Key Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years\’ experience in the industry
  • Degree in engineering geology, geology, or environmental science
  • Background including local authority projects
  • Confident in hitting the ground running
  • Ability to carry out site contamination assessments from Stage 1 Tier 1 to Stage 3
  • Proficient in soil and rock logging under BS5930
  • Ability to schedule contamination, waste classification, and geotechnical testing
  • Proficient at writing desk studies and interpretive GIR
  • Capable of designing remediation works and validation
  • Strong technical report writing and clear verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Track-record with EIA process and reporting is advantageous
  • Hold a full UK driver\’s licence and own transport
