About the role

As Senior HR Advisor, you will work withthe HR Operations & Services Partner to build EMCCA’s ER function. Providingconfident, practical and solutions-focused advice to managers and seniorleaders. You will take ownership of complex employee relations work, helpingpeople make sound decisions that balance employee experience, employmentrequirements and organisational risk.

You will also support organisationaldevelopment and workforce activity as EMCCA evolves. This will include advisingon restructures, consultation and changes to roles or services where thesearise, alongside contributing to wider priorities such as managementcapability, workforce planning, recruitment, retention and HR policy. You will also contribute to organisationalchange and workforce activity, including TUPE and organisational integrationwhere relevant.

You will line manage and support the HRAdvisor, helping to build capability and maintain a consistent, high-qualityservice.

What you'll be doing

  • · Independently manage complexand sensitive employee relations cases, providing clear advice, options andrecommendations.
  • · Advise, coach andconstructively challenge managers and senior leaders across disciplinary,grievance, performance, capability, absence and other people matters.
  • · Interpret employment law, caselaw and HR policy and translate these into practical, proportionate advice.
  • · Identify employment risks earlyand help managers understand appropriate mitigations and routes forward.
  • · Support organisationaldevelopment and workforce activity, including consultation, restructures,workforce planning and changes to roles or services.
  • · Contribute to HR policydevelopment, recruitment and retention, employee experience, equality,diversity and inclusion and management capability.
  • · Work effectively with tradeunions, employee representatives, partner organisations and professionalcolleagues.
  • · Maintain clear records,governance and decision trails for complex people activity.

What you'll bring

  • · Significant professional HRexperience in a complex organisation, including advising and constructivelychallenging managers and senior leaders.
  • · Significant experience ofindependently managing complex employee relations matters and applying soundprofessional judgement.
  • · Strong and current knowledge ofemployee relations, organisational change and employment law, with the abilityto apply it practically.
  • · Experience of supportingorganisational change, consultation and workforce activity. Practical TUPE orcomparable transfer experience would be useful.
  • · Strong communication,influencing and relationship-management skills, with discretion, integrity anda pragmatic approach.
  • · CIPD Level 7, working towardsit, or equivalent senior-level HR experience demonstrating the capabilityrequired for the role.
