Cathelco designs, manufactures and supplies innovative systems for the global offshore and military marine sectors. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a Commercial & Supply Chain Coordinator to support one of Cathelco’s key product lines, Transvac marine systems. In this role, you will support the commercial and operational execution of large new-build and retrofit system projects, ensuring a seamless process from tender preparation through to delivery. You will play a key role in customer engagement, quotation preparation, order processing, purchasing, and project coordination. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to work over 3 or 4 days in a dynamic, technical environment, managing complex projects and collaborating closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver agreed sales and support targets for large-scale Transvac projects.
- Lead and contribute to tender preparation, documentation, and submission.
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for Transvac products and systems.
- Process customer orders and coordinate internal workflows to ensure timely project delivery.
- Manage purchasing activities for Transvac equipment and components, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with project schedules.
- Evaluate project profitability, commercial risks, and long‑term return on investment.
- Ensure internal approval processes are followed in line with company guidelines.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date project pipeline and provide regular progress reporting.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the bidding, sales, and negotiation process.
- Attend client and subcontractor meetings, ensuring clear documentation and follow-up actions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and project performance requirements.
Key Requirements
- Solid experience in sales coordination, commercial support, or technical customer service, ideally within the marine, offshore, or defence sectors.
- Knowledge of Cathelco systems or Transvac technology would be advantageous.
- Experience with quotation preparation, order processing, or purchasing in a technical or engineering environment.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong negotiation and commercial skills, particularly in complex or high-value projects.
- Excellent organisation, numerical, and analytical abilities with strong attention to detail.
