Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in handling road freight export operations, groupage movements, and providing excellent customer service within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Data entry, booking collections and preparing shipments for export
- Communicating with customers regarding bookings and job queries
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients
- Co-ordinating export groupage and full-load movements
- Providing transport partners with accurate collection/delivery details
- Monitoring incoming emails and flagging potential issues
- Supporting customs processes and assisting with loading (late finish once per week)
- General ad hoc duties as required by the Operations team
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in groupage shipping
- Strong knowledge of exports and customs procedures
- Able to work to deadlines with good planning skills
- Computer literate and confident using operational systems
- Proactive, organised, and able to use initiative
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
