Our drivers are one of the most important roles within EV Cargo, and we are seeking an experienced Class 1 tramper driver to join our team and help us transport goods across the country during the day.
THE SALARY
- £35,100 Annual Salary
- £50 Weekly Bonus
- £26.20 Standard night out allowance (per night)
- Overtime available
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Various HGV driving duties, including long-distance and multi-day runs, with regular nights out in the vehicle.
- Complete daily vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy, safe, and compliant with all legal requirements.
- Sleep in the cab during the working week where required, following company vehicle security and standing procedures at all times.
- Manage the hand held terminals and be able to record accurate information.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and returned to the Transport Office.
- Report any delivery issues, collection, or vehicle issues in a timely manner to the Transport Office.
- Provide a professional driving service, meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
- Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to at all times.
- Able to work nights out during the week.
