WS Solutions, part of the William Stobart & Sons transport group, is looking for Class 1 Drivers and HGV Drivers to join our team on Days at our Customers depot in Amesbury, working a 5 on 3 off rota. Our drivers are one of the most important roles within WSS and as a fully qualified HGV driver, you will play a crucial role in delivering products to our customers while ensuring your safety and well-being on the road.
THE SALARY £48,064.37 Days – £57,196.62 Nights (4pm-4am Start), paid weekly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Various Class 1 driving duties
- General haulage duties
- Trucking store deliveries
- Driving independently or alongside a banksman or rep
- Accountable for understanding and adherence to the route provided
- Accountable for ensuring the correct load & paperwork is on board
- Responsible for ensuring the tractor & trailer unit are road legal
- Responsible for filling in the check sheets and reporting any defects
- Responsible for identifying and logging defects into the defect books
- Responsible for informing the Depot of any delays on their day
- Responsible for adhering to all Tachograph and working time law
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
- Qualified Class 1 Driver with a digital tacho card
- Understanding of Tachograph laws and rules and regulations of the road
- Good geographic knowledge of UK roads
- Experience driving articulated vehicles
- At least 6 months experience in a Class 1 role
