The purpose of the Network Operations Team is to support Member Depot growth and confidence, through developing a consistent day to day customer experience, onboarding and managing capacity for deliveries, and resolving issues when they occur in a satisfactory and efficient manner.

The Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for Members in their area overseeing procedural operations and performance objectives. This role is critical for ensuring high service levels and knowledge. Working alongside a team of Regional Operations Managers, the successful candidate will foster depot relationships from their initial implementation through various stages of Member growth whilst also being proactive with their colleagues to achieve the highest level of service and Member reputation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactive management of the compliance of all Member Depots
  • Agree overall standards and targets for all operational metrics – identify and work with target depots to improve their performance and achieve agreed standards across the board
  • Develop and use a concise depot health check process focused on compliance to Palletforce daily routines
  • Use a strategy of meetings, Teams calls, phone calls and electronic messaging to communicate at Depot Principal/Person in Charge level at depots to drive compliance – agree then how this is escalated and how
  • Be empowered to challenge the depot when service is not up to standard and seek improvement
  • Complete ‘Deep Dives’ into specific depots to provide narrative to the business and guide solutions
  • Complete any depot training needs
  • Manage complaints arbitration process
  • Work with the Network Control Tower team to assist with efficient query resolution
  • Build relationships with Member Depots to aid communications across the network and be available to assist with advice and guidance
  • Update Member Depot CRM
  • Work with Member Recruitment Team from as early as possible on all new depot implementation projects
  • Complete the onboarding and training, and initial sign off operationally with the Depot Principals
  • Revisit and pass into normal operations
  • Refine and develop the onboarding process

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Qualifications: Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Transport desirable.
  • Experience: 5 years experience in distribution/transport operations either within a local depot or hub environment. Ideally 2 years experience within pallet network operations.
  • Communication: Have a strong customer-centred ethic with a focus on improving customer experience and taking pride in customer satisfaction. You will demonstrate a motivated attitude towards achieving commitments and have excellent communication skills, spoken and written. Ability to communicate at a variety of levels.
  • Influence & Persuasion: You will be comfortable with leading and influencing people – even if they are not your direct reports – and have experience at challenging behaviour, training and using data to persuade.
