About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Import Coordinator to join our busy Heathrow office. This role requires a proactive, organised, and customer-focused individual with strong knowledge of import procedures and customs compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the import process from start to finish.
- Complete customs procedures accurately and on time to meet internal and regulatory deadlines.
- Liaise with customers, internal teams, and third parties to ensure all necessary information is communicated effectively.
- Resolve minor customer issues, disputes, and complaints in a professional manner.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, up to date, and correctly uploaded into the system.
- Support the team during periods of absence or holidays.
- Attend customer meetings and identify opportunities to promote additional services.
- Assist with training and knowledge sharing across the team.
- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the import function.
- Perform other duties as required for the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
Required Skills & Experience
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English – Grade 4/C or above.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of ASM Sequoia and CargoWise systems.
- Solid experience with: Home Use / CFSP / Warehousing / Bonds / T1's / NCTS Incoterms and freight rate calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
