We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to manage and control the technical architecture for a major new Record System replacement project where our client is moving to a new supplier SaaS platform. Reporting to the Programme Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of this complex programme on time and on budget.

You would be part of a dedicated team created for the delivery of this programme, collaborating with IT Services and other key stakeholders. Our client has a unique user base of in excess of 30,000 and this programme is part of a wider reaching transformation initiative.

In addition to the salary offered there are a number of attractive benefits which include, amongst others, c 40 days leave per year (inclusive of Bank Holidays) and a generous employer benefit contribution.

You will collaborate with key stakeholders to transform high-level business requirements into robust technical solutions, while owning architectural risks and ensuring the application of best practices across the project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead strategic and operational planning to define the technical environment of the new Record System.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate architectural and technical risks.
  • Ensure non-functional requirements are achievable and met.
  • Quality assure all technical solutions, approving them as fit for purpose before development.
  • Provide leadership for technical personnel including integration, testing, and reporting teams.
  • Guarantee robust architecture and seamless integration with enterprise-wide systems.
Skills & Experience:
  • Experience within the Education sector would be preferred.
  • Proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing complex IT systems.
  • Strong experience with technical architecture, preferably in large-scale, multi-system SaaS environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams delivering integrations, testing, and reporting functions.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage risks and ensure quality standards are maintained.
