Senior IT Business Applications Manager – Global Law Firm
We are working with our client a prestigious Law Firm as they add to their Global Business Applications Management team. They are acknowledged as one of the leaders in their field and last year boasted an annual revenue of $8 billion.
This role is based out of their Manchester site but will have cross border responsibilities.
Leading a team that takes responsibility for around 40 of their 200+ applications your remit will include 365 / Teams and AI such as Chat GPT and CoPilot.
You will be part of a wider Global Senior Applications Management team responsible for controlling the deployment and maintenance of applications vital to the business.
This is a strategic role with 4 direct reports, and you must be confident in your team lead abilities and in reporting to Board level.
Some responsibilities include:
- Organising, delegating and coordinating the work of the team
- Drafting internal communications to Global Technology Managers with regards to software upgrades, application fixes, deployment of security patches
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise applications systems in relation to productivity, AI tools, Teams, and the Microsoft 365 suite (amongst others)
- Developing and deploying software fixes, security patches, and feature updates
Key skills and experience required:
- Experience gained within a legal (preferred) or professional services environment in a similar Management of IT Applications role
- Proven team management experience – this should include performance management
- Specific experience supporting the applications noted in this area (ie 365 / AI) would be preferred
- Knowledge of and proficiency in multi-tier enterprise application platforms, including Microsoft SQL databases, web services (Microsoft IIS and Apache Tomcat)
- Proven skills in troubleshooting and diagnostics, test, and implementing solutions
- You MUST have experience of working within a largescale environment
