A Head of IT Infrastructure is required by our internationally renowned client, who are consistently ranked as one of the leaders in their sector both nationally and internationally. The Head of Infrastructure's primary purpose is to be fully accountable for ensuring all systems across Data Centres, Platforms, Networks & Telephony environments remain highly available, stable, monitored and maintained, in line with the strategic operational objectives of IT Services.
As the Head of IT Infrastructure, you will act as the line manager for a number of technical managers, who will themselves and their staff work in a matrix environment, also reporting operationally to project managers. They are looking for someone with extensive experience in managing a complex IT Infrastructure environment at a senior level, ideally with experience in IT infrastructure technical resources, covering networks, data centre environments and servers.
About the Company: They are a large-scale organisation, based in over 300 buildings locally and internationally, with approximately 30,000 unique users for IT. The complex structure means you will be liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders. You will enjoy working within a professional and friendly team and can take advantage of an exceptional benefits package including a contributory pension scheme exceeding 20%, as well as a very healthy holiday allowance of 30 days base plus bank holidays and additional site closure days. KEY SKILLS & BACKGROUND
- Extensive experience in managing IT infrastructure teams at a senior level
- Experience in continuity management and disaster recovery
- Knowledge across Networks, Servers, Storage, Virtualisation and managing Data Centre environments
- Familiarity with Service Delivery standards and frameworks such as ITIL
- Ability to plan, assign, direct, manage, motivate and engage staff successfully
- Ability to define, implement and promote IT Infrastructure Strategy
- Develop and maintain relationships with senior management across lines of business and relevant 3rd parties
- Responsible for IT Infrastructure budget management, including provision of month-end reports for senior management
- Ability to direct and line manage Technical Managers and the wider Infrastructure team
