Head of Data & Analytics
Location: Hampshire
Working Pattern: 9-day fortnight
We are recruiting for an exciting Head of Data & Analytics opportunity with an established organisation operating across the aerospace, defence, security and events sectors.
Reporting to the CIO, you will lead the development of the organisation's data strategy, platforms and analytics capability, helping to drive commercial performance, operational efficiency and better business decision-making.
This is a fantastic opportunity to build and shape a growing Data & Analytics function, with modern technology foundations already established and strong support from senior leadership.
The Role
Combining strategic leadership, business engagement and hands-on technical expertise, you will:
Own and develop the Data & Analytics strategy and roadmap.
Lead the evolution of a modern Azure-based data platform.
Drive data governance, reporting and self-service analytics.
Work closely with business stakeholders to identify commercial opportunities through data.
Explore predictive analytics, AI and data monetisation opportunities.
Lead and develop a growing Data & Analytics team.
About You
We're looking for a commercially minded data leader with:
Strong hands-on SQL expertise and experience with Microsoft Azure.
Experience in data engineering, architecture and modern cloud data platforms.
Proven leadership experience within Data & Analytics or Business Intelligence.
Knowledge of data governance, modelling and CI/CD practices.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Exposure to Python, Databricks, Power BI or Terraform would be advantageous.
