Our client is a leading global law firm operating across major financial centres and supporting complex, high-profile clients across a range of industries. The Senior SharePoint Developer & Administrator will be responsible for designing, developing, administering, and modernising enterprise SharePoint environments across SharePoint Subscription Edition and SharePoint Online. This role combines hands-on development with platform administration, including system maintenance, upgrades, governance, and intranet design. A key focus will be leading migration from SharePoint 2016 on-premise solutions to modern SharePoint platforms, including rewriting legacy solutions using SharePoint Framework and modern architecture principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse business requirements and define appropriate SharePoint solution approaches (custom development vs out-of-the-box)
- Design, develop, and maintain solutions across SharePoint SE and SharePoint Online
- Lead migration from SharePoint 2016 to modern SharePoint platforms, including SPFx redevelopment of legacy web parts
- Design and maintain enterprise SharePoint Online intranet architecture, navigation, branding, and content structures
- Integrate SharePoint with internal systems and third-party platforms using REST APIs and Microsoft Graph
- Administer SharePoint SE and SharePoint Online environments, including permissions, service applications, site collections, and governance
- Perform system updates, patching, upgrades, and performance monitoring to ensure stability and compliance
Required skills and experience:
- Extensive hands-on experience with SharePoint SE and SharePoint Online administration and development
- Proven experience migrating SharePoint 2016 on-premise environments to modern SharePoint platforms
- Strong expertise in SharePoint Framework (SPFx) development
- Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, HTML5, and CSS3
- Strong experience with REST APIs and Microsoft Graph integrations
- Solid C# and .NET experience for backend and integration development
- Experience administering SharePoint on-prem environments including patching, upgrades, and performance tuning
