This is a career-defining opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader who wants to shape the future of a high-profile FMCG business operating at real scale. We are partnering with one of the UK and Ireland’s most recognisable consumer brands. Technology already underpins more than 70 percent of revenue, with a clear ambition to reach 100 percent by 2030. This role sits at the centre of that journey.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional finance role. It is about value creation, strategic influence, and translating digital ambition into commercial outcomes. You will act as the senior commercial and financial partner to the Technology leadership team, shaping investment decisions, prioritising initiatives, and ensuring technology spend delivers measurable business impact across growth, margin, scalability, customer experience, and speed to market. The role sits within the Technology function with a dotted line to the CFO and is seen internally as a development platform for future senior leadership roles.
What Makes This Role Different
- You influence strategy through commercial credibility rather than hierarchy
- You focus on outcomes, not activity
- You help decide what gets funded, why, and in what order
- You operate at pace, in ambiguity, with authority to challenge and shape direction
- You work on initiatives that genuinely move the business forward
Who This Will Suit
- This role will suit someone who is strongly commercial and naturally sees the bigger picture
- Thrives in growth, digital, technology, or transformation environments
- Is ambitious and looking for visibility, stretch, and progression
- Is comfortable operating without a large team but motivated by the opportunity to build one
- Enjoys partnering with senior technology leaders and influencing enterprise-level decisions
- A traditional financial control or governance-led background is not required
Location and Package
Hybrid working from Woking, two days per week. Direct train from London Waterloo in under 40 minutes. Salary range of £100,000 to £120,000 plus bonus and amazing people first benefits package.
Why Candidates Move for This Role
This is a rare opportunity to join a major FMCG business at a pivotal point in its technology and growth journey, with real influence, scale, and clear progression. If you are a commercial finance leader who wants to shape the future of a business rather than simply report on it, this role is worth exploring.
