Well-known International Business is seeking a hands-on, technically strong Group Financial Accountant to join our global financial consolidation and reporting team. Reporting directly into the Group Financial Controller, this role will be pivotal in ensuring accurate, timely reporting and strong financial governance across multiple entities. The successful candidate will support with driving efficiency and accuracy, while being an approachable and supportive team member.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the global consolidation process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements.
  • Own the consolidation of multiple entities across various regions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Process consolidation adjustments, including intercompany eliminations, currency translation, and non-controlling interest calculations.
  • Process subsidiary inputs, ensuring compliance with established accounting policies, standards, and timelines.
  • Prepare and review financial statements for the organisation’s legal entities in UK (Group), and other European countries, in compliance with local statutory reporting requirements.
  • Own the Month End accounting for the organisation’s holding company structure and ensure that all required general ledger transaction postings are made.
  • Prepare all holding company structure account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of the holding company structure to Finance Team stakeholders.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • ACA or ACCA Qualified, audit background would be a plus.
  • Strong experience in accounting, including consolidations.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly with consolidation and reporting standards.
  • Experience working in a multinational organisation with multiple currencies and complex structures.
  • Proven track record of improving controls and processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
