Seeking an accomplished Finance Director on a fractional basis (3 days per week) for a local SME business, to lead a small finance team and partner with the CEO & Executive Team.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will take full ownership of the finance function, drive strategic decision making, and play a key role in securing investment for their expansion plans. This is a broad, influential position where you’ll work directly with the CEO and the wider leadership team. You’ll be the strategic voice behind the numbers, shaping financial direction, tightening operational performance, and helping the business continue its upward trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape and execute financial strategy, ensuring long term business success
- Setting financial direction, planning ahead, and helping leadership make informed decisions.
- Improving the quality, speed, and clarity of financial information for the Board.
- Develop and implement key performance indicators that drive performance across the business
- Oversee financial reporting, cash flow, and budgeting
- Support the leadership team with high level commercial insights

- A finance leader ACA, ACCA OR CIMA, from a SME business (sub £50m revenue)
