Financial Accountant | Milton Keynes | Hybrid Working
I'm currently supporting a well-established organisation with the appointment of a Group Financial Accountant to join its growing Group Finance function.
This is an excellent opportunity for a first-time mover from practice or an accountant already operating in industry who is looking to broaden their experience within a large, complex and ambitious organisation.
Working closely with the wider senior finance leadership team, the successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of financial reporting activities, alongside opportunities to contribute to wider Group projects and improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting monthly Group consolidations and internal and external reporting.
- Assisting with the preparation of consolidated IFRS financial statements.
- Providing technical accounting support and guidance across the Group.
- Working closely with senior stakeholders, operational finance teams and external auditors.
- Supporting improvements to financial reporting processes, systems and controls.
- Contributing to wider Group initiatives, including finance transformation and other strategic projects.
The ideal candidate will be:
- ACA qualified (or equivalent), ideally from an audit background.
- Technically strong, with a sound understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Comfortable working with complex financial information and large datasets.
- Commercially aware, personable and confident engaging with stakeholders.
- Ambitious, proactive and keen to develop their career within Group Finance.
