I'm partnering with a private equity-backed Facilities Management company that's embarking on an ambitious buy-and-build journey. Over the past year, the business has completed multiple strategic acquisitions across the UK, creating a Group approaching £200m in revenue, with a strong pipeline of further acquisitions already identified. To support the next phase of growth, they're looking to appoint a Group Head of FP&A, a newly created role reporting directly to the CFO. This is a rare opportunity to build the Group FP&A function from the ground up, creating the financial infrastructure that will support a rapidly expanding organisation.

Rather than inheriting an established function, you'll have the autonomy to shape how the business plans, measures and manages performance across the Group. Working closely with the CFO, executive leadership team and operating businesses, you'll be responsible for:

  • Building and developing a best-in-class Group FP&A function.
  • Leading the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
  • Designing KPI frameworks and executive dashboards that provide meaningful commercial insight.
  • Delivering board and investor-quality reporting.
  • Developing financial models, scenario planning and strategic analysis to support key business decisions.
  • Improving visibility across revenue, EBITDA, cash flow and working capital.
  • Embedding consistent reporting, governance and financial discipline as the Group continues to grow.
  • Acting as a true business partner to operational leaders, helping drive performance across multiple businesses.

The role also provides significant exposure to the full M&A lifecycle, working alongside the CFO on both pre- and post-acquisition activity, including:

  • Financial modelling and commercial analysis of acquisition opportunities.
  • Integration planning.
  • Finance function harmonisation.
  • Synergy tracking and post-deal performance reporting.
  • Standardising reporting across newly acquired businesses.

We're keen to speak with ambitious Heads of FP&A looking for a broader leadership opportunity or FP&A Managers ready to take the next step into a Group role. You’ll ideally have experience within a private equity-backed, Facilities Management, Outsourcing, Technical Services, Business Services or another acquisitive, contract-led organisation. You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong FP&A background, commercial mindset and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Experience supporting a high-growth or buy-and-build environment, presenting to investors or lenders, and building scalable reporting processes would be highly advantageous.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a business at an exciting point in its journey, working directly with the CFO to build a high-performing Group FP&A function while helping shape the financial strategy of a rapidly growing organisation.
