We are working with a fast-growing and ambitious group of businesses to appoint a Financial Controller — a pivotal role working directly with two founders who are driving significant growth and diversification across the portfolio. This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where you’ll combine hands-on financial leadership with genuine strategic influence.
As Financial Controller, you’ll take full ownership of the group’s finance function — leading a small team, delivering high-quality reporting and insight, and acting as a trusted partner to the business owners.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver timely, accurate accounts, management information, and forecasts across multiple entities
- Build and own KPI dashboards and financial performance reporting
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management
- Manage relationships with lenders, advisors, and external accountants
- Oversee tax, VAT, and compliance across the group
- Coach, mentor, and develop a small finance team
- Continuously improve controls, systems, and reporting processes
What We’re Looking For:
- You’ll be commercially minded, technically strong, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Strong technical accounting and reporting background
- Experience managing cashflow, debt funding, and forecasting
- Excellent understanding of VAT, tax, and multi-entity structures
- Proven ability to lead small teams and improve processes
- Confident communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
