Associate Director – Accountancy & Finance

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced FP&A professional to join a growing retail business. Working in a fast‑paced, commercial environment and reporting to the Senior FP&A Manager, this role will play a pivotal part in driving financial insight and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month‑end performance reporting, including P&L and cashflow, and deliver insightful reporting packs to senior leadership.
- Analyse and combine internal and external data to generate actionable insights and challenge commercial performance.
- Support key planning cycles, including budgeting, forecasting, and three‑year strategic planning.
- Act as a key finance partner to stakeholders across multiple functions and regional teams.
- Oversee balance sheet controls and ensure accurate, timely reconciliations.
- Build robust financial models and produce high‑quality presentations to support long‑term strategic decision‑making.
- Contribute to business transformation and integration initiatives across the organisation.
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in FP&A and/or commercial finance roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to distil complex data into clear insights.
- Confident communicator, able to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive self‑starter with excellent prioritisation and time‑management skills.
- Experience with SAP, BI tools, Power BI, and HFM is desirable.
