What You’ll Do
We are looking for a Revenue Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. This position will report directly into our Group Financial Controller and will be responsible for revenue accounting for the LEO offering. Responsibilities include:
- Obtaining, ensuring completeness, and posting of all customer invoices from the Billing Team
- Coordination with group entities to ensure booking and reconciliation of intercompany revenue transactions
- Posting all LEO revenue related entries into the ERP system, with the ability to deliver on a tight Company close calendar
- Business partnering with Controlling, Legal, Commercial to ensure you keep abreast of revenue contract developments (new signings, amendments etc.)
- Ensuring revenue recognition is in line with IFRS 15 with guidance from the Head of Technical Accounting and posting adjusting journal entries as needed
- Monthly reconciliation of LEO revenue postings and presentation of results to senior management
- Ownership of the Accrued Income and Deferred Income ledgers including monthly reconciliation
- Preparing the Costs of Goods sold calculation each month based on revenue bookings and aligning with the Logistics Team to ensure completeness and correctness of costs applied
- Interfacing with other accounting functions, tax, financial planning and finance leadership as well as other internal and external parties including auditors
- Assisting with preparation of required government filings, as necessary
- Producing ad‑hoc reports for senior management as needed
What it Takes
Bachelor’s Degree and accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA)
Proven ability in understanding and application of IFRS 15
Ability to engage with auditors or prior experience working at a reputable audit firm
Proven experience accounting for various revenue streams in a multi‑national environment
Confident interpreting large datasets and using advanced Excel formulae
Minimum experience of one year using SAP accounting software
Experience of a first‑class control environment.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing, this will include communication of accounting policies and procedures to corporate team members.
Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information
Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for the team to fulfil responsibilities in accordance with core strategic goals.
Strong problem‑solving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate; ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems.
Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent and shifting demands as well as appropriately prioritize responsibilities. Must deliver following tight timelines and deadlines.
Ability to coordinate between various corporate functional groups.
