Who you are:

You have a strong understanding of mobile communication technologies, satellite systems, and their integration. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of feature implementation and the quality of the network.

What you will do:

The System Architect in the Current System Architecture Team (CSA) will oversee end‐to‐end feature implementation on the current network. This includes collecting business requirements or operations needs, and designing features with cost considerations. The role also plays a critical role in ensuring a smooth implementation and rollout of new features with internal developers and external vendors.

This position involves high collaboration with cross‐functional teams, requiring coordination with Operations, Engineering, Sales, Business Development, Legal, and other relevant stakeholders. The role also involves external engagement with suppliers, customers, and the competition to stay abreast of market dynamics.

  • Incorporate new methodology and technology to improve the operational efficiency of the current system.
  • Produce comprehensive optimisation road maps to address customer needs.
  • Support customer‐facing teams with technical training and knowledge transfer.
  • Serve as the interface towards Business Units, IT, Operational teams, and other technical specialist engineering teams, following the Demand Management Process to formalise technical requirements while ensuring alignment with overall system objectives.
  • Coordinate development with internal/external teams (Client, Marketing sales, Operation management, Suppliers, Internal team as System integration and test team, or modelling team, etc.)
  • Support the definition of technical requirements within the framework of the Technical Procurement process, focusing on system architecture.
  • Interact with external suppliers to ensure matching with desired features and system requirements.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a space‐related field (e.g., Aerospace Engineering, Astrophysics, Space Systems Engineering), or in Telecommunications or a closely related discipline.
  • 5‐10 years of professional experience in the connectivity industry (e.g., terrestrial cell phone networks, sat comms systems, point‐to‐point radios, etc.), or a minimum of 3 years of experience specifically in LEO (Low Earth Orbit) connectivity operations or development.
  • Fluency in written & spoken English is mandatory. French or additional languages is advantageous.
  • Be Agile, curious, rigorous and work with autonomy.
  • Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with a keen understanding of satellite connectivity.
  • Experience in managing cross‐functional teams and driving successful system conception.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organisational levels.

What We'd Love:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field
  • Experience in programming in C/C++, Python or similar language
  • Field work on RF or antenna systems
