Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and field-oriented Operations Manager – KWiFi to play a critical role in delivering off-grid, satellite-based WiFi connectivity across rural and underserved areas in Africa. In this position, you will work closely with the Program Director, Project Manager, local distributors, and technical partners to ensure the successful execution of large-scale deployment operations.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to a high-impact digital inclusion program and make a tangible difference in bridging the connectivity gap.

- Comfortable working under pressure and managing parallel operations in remote locations

What You'll Do:
- Coordinate day-to-day rollout operations with local distributors, installers, and logistics partners
- Oversee the preparation, delivery, and quality control of satellite terminals, solar kits, and WiFi equipment
- Ensure compliance with installation standards and deployment protocols across multiple countries
- Act as the primary operational contact for field distributors, supporting performance and activation targets
- Translate deployment roadmaps into clear operational execution plans in collaboration with the Project Manager
- Collaborate with partners (e.g., EDF, Orange, solar providers) to manage field deployment and resolve issues
- Contribute to and implement escalation procedures (L1–L3) across operations
- Monitor service quality through tools such as BIP and Indio
- Identify operational risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Improve processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability
- Coordinate with the Supply Chain Manager on logistics, delivery planning, and stock management
- Support training and onboarding of installation partners and local technicians
What You'll Need:
- 5+ years of experience in operations, field deployment, or service delivery (ideally in telecom, connectivity, or infrastructure)
- Experience managing rural or off-grid deployments involving hardware (connectivity, solar, or energy systems)
- Strong understanding of operational challenges in Sub‐Saharan Africa
- Proven problem‐solving skills and ability to drive process improvements
- Fluency in French and English; additional African languages are a plus
- Engineering or technical background preferred, with a hands‐on mindset
