Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Sales Engineer - Aviation to join our team and play a critical role providing technical expertise and support to our partners, to deliver successful satellite connectivity deployments. In this position, you'll work closely with the Sales & Engineering teams, contributing directly to our ongoing projects and initiatives.

What You'll Do:

  • As an aviation specialised Sales Engineer, you will play a key role in our business growth.
  • Understand our aviation customer's business needs and match them to a compelling OneWeb service solution.
  • Use your broad engineering knowledge and consultative techniques to ensure that our distribution partners and airline customers provide the best possible solutions for their customers.
  • Provide in-depth customer technical support, leading technical sales and demos, influencing market requirements, and driving sales.
  • Operate as the technical expert and customer solutions engineer for OneWeb products.
  • Work with the commercial team to deliver key OEM programs for linefit capabilities.
  • Drive the communication of the capabilities of the OneWeb global network to prospective customers.
  • Define and oversee customer demonstrations.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience in providing robust technical advice and solutions to customers in the Aviation Sector.
  • Very good knowledge of aviation use cases and airline requirements.
  • Knowledge of communications networks, with experience and consideration for aviation adoption.
  • Strong OEM knowledge and understanding of linefit processes.
  • Strong communication skills: ability to articulate technical material to both a technical and non-technical audience.
  • Commercially astute; strong negotiation skill.
  • Be a creative thinker and solution focused.

What We'd Love:

  • BSc/BEng in a relevant technical degree or equivalent.
  • The equivalent of 5 to 15 years experience in a relevant Sales Engineering / Product Development position.
  • Understanding of the aviation sector, any previous experience working with the satellite/IFC industry vertical would be an advantage.
  • Willing to travel internationally with cultural awareness.
